- The Shitennou -If you are looking to work with or honour some masculine figures that are not part of the Endymion line, The Shitennou  (Japanese for The Four Heavenly Kings) would be a great addition.The Shitennou were Prince Endymion’s protectors - his four Generals. From right to left, their names are Jadeite, Nephrite, Zoisite, and Kunzite. If you have only seen the Sailor Moon anime, you might be thinking “but K, aren’t these bad guys? I thought they worked for Queen Beryl??” You are right! In the anime they were primarily Beryl’s Generals instead, but in the original context of the manga, they were soldiers of Prince Endymion.You see, back in the Silver Millennium the Earth was very suspicious of the Moon Kingdom, for they thought the Moon wanted to take over and control the Earth. The Shitennou were no exception. They wanted the best for their Prince, wanted to protect him, and often argued when Endymion fell in love with Princess Serenity. It is said that it was this growing suspicion towards the Moon that made The Shitennou turn to Beryl, who in turn corrupted them with Queen Metalia’s evil power. This does not make them inherently bad, and it is shown later on when the Silver Crystal restores Kunzite’s past memories that he ultimately regretted siding with Metalia and Beryl.After all of the corrupted Shitennou were defeated in battle, they turned into the Gemstones they were named after and continued to watch over Mamouru/Tuxedo Mask in spirit. Mamouru keeps these stones in a special box and calls on them for guidance from time to time. [x]Information about each of the Shitennou:Kunzite Kunsite was the leader of the four Generals much like Sailor Venus is the leader of the Inner Sailor Soldiers. He was said to be the greatest and best out of the Shitennou, and that he was silent and calm, but also frightening when angry. He was seen as an older brother figure to the other Generals, especially the youngest, Zoisite. He claimed to be the General of the Middle East. [x] [x]NephriteNephrite was the second oldest of the Shitennou. He was Prince Endymions Military officer in the time of the Golden Kingdom. He was described as being emotionally intense, overly proud of himself, and more likely to rush into things out of passion. Nephrite had a dramatically different storyline in the Sailor Moon anime since no much is said about him as a person in the original manga. He claims to be the General of North America. [x] [x]JadeiteJadeite was the second youngest of the Shitennou, and the first to die. He was defeated by Sailor Mars and turned into a skeleton, which Nephrite preserved in a glass coffin, vowing to avenge him. Since he was the first to perish, not much personal information is known about him either. He was a Military officer in the time of the Golden Kingdom. He claims to be the General of the Far East. [x] [x] [x]ZoisiteThe youngest of the Shitennou, he was described as effeminate and less mature than the other Shitennou. He was visibly upset about the demise of his comrades in the manga, instead of plotting against them like in the anime. It’s been said that he would use dirty methods of attack, although I’m not sure if that relates to his prior incarnation or solely his corrupted forme.  He very nearly defeats the Sailor Soldiers, but is killed in a surprise attack by Sailor Venus.He claims to be the General of Europe. [x] [x]As a group, they are protectors, guardians, and advisors. The easiest way to get in touch with them is to gather the corresponding gemstones they share names with and invite them to watch over you.
