thunderbringer:Let’s have a chat about this scene. Thor could have easily called Mjolnir to him. Summoned it without a hitch but in this very moment he DOUBTED HIMSELF. For whatever reason he was terrified that somehow he’d become unworthy of wielding the hammer. This is where all the guilt starts seeping in about those he cannot save. He watched Loki kill Coulson and could literally do nothing about it. He doesn’t call the hammer and then hesitates because he doesn’t want to know the answer. Odin’s skewed since of worthiness is so engrained in him that he has to worry constantly about when the next time the hammer might deem him unworthy.  -- source link
