yagottabelieve:gfbaseball:Wilmer Flores after learning that he had been traded - July 29, 2015This is heartbreaking even if you’re happy about the trade.Normally when a player is potentially going to be traded, they’re not in the lineup that day. Poor Wilmer had to go out there and then found out mid-game that he was part of a potential, almost-complete trade deal when he’s been with the Mets since he was 16. Oh, and then he didn’t even get pulled from the game, so here he is crying on defense because he’s been blindsided and is being sent away from the only team he’s ever known.Trades are tough, but most organizations handle it better than this. As usual, we screwed it up royally.And to top it off, the GM just announced the trade isn’t happening. Way to mess with this poor kid’s emotions, ugh. -- source link
