helpfuldeathgod: aaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnn: please stop reblogging / supporting sixpenceee ( with 3 e ) Hi. I made a callout post a really long time ago, and it is time for me to make a new one. You can still reblog that old one if you want, but it is outdated and I know a lot more about ableism now then I did then. I will surely be updating this, so before you make a comment on something, please click the OP to see if anything new is there. Let’s talk about Sixpenceee and her ableism, among other things. I realized her blog was pretty bad and I started making a few posts about it some time ago. This was the first one, I ask that you don’t reblog it because it is the literal first one I made on the subject. Sixpenceee often posts stories, horror stories, where the plot is that a scary mentally ill person did something bad to someone. That’s all the darn plot most of these things had. Or worse almost, she’d make a post talking about a mental illness, trying to sound scientific, and say awful things like this. Many, many times, she’s posted pictures of people with physical disabilities. Like. Just physically disabled people. How weird they look. Even her science-y posts aren’t very correct, and apparently multiple times, actual professionals have commented / sent her asks, and been ignored. Here. *EDIT* Sixpenceee posted about a genetic disorder, saying the full name and country of a girl who had it - And still got the details of the disorder terribly wrong anyway, which is ridiculous because this girl’s mother also has it and has written many pieces on it. I think I know where I can find this post, but I’d rather not share this girl’s last name online any more than it has been shared by Sixpenceee’s post. These stories, and many images on her blog (until recently when she got better about sourcing) are just taken from Reddit with no mention or link to the author. This includes the popular ”Crave that mineral” meme, which had its original text stolen from a Reddit user. ( Here’s where someone who had a picture they took stolen an author from Reddit asked to be credited and were blocked ) She’s stolen posts word-for-word from similar bloggers. There are at least three she’s done that to, here’s one. And she often posted things about mental illness, framed in a very unsettling “look how weird the human mind can be!” way. The fact that real stories of mentally ill people are on a HORROR blog is terrible. Regardless of whether or not ~that particular post is intended to be educational or whatever, it’s just awful. ( A blogger speaks about this, Another person talks about how unsettling and dehumanizing that is, And why saying “it’s an education blog too, she’s posting about the illnesses to educate” is awful, Why posting pictures of creepy old abandoned asylums is disrespectful, Another, How ableist horror media affects mentally ill people IRL, What people like Sixpenceee do offline (RAPE TW) ) after I had started talking about the ableism, she made this really odd post; not only is it not an apology, it’s pretty much lying and saying “I was never ableist!” but.. the images still aren’t sourced. ( A person talking about how her “apology” made them uncomfortable, another, a person with schizophrenia talks about how they feel, cLICK THIS LINK BEFORE YOU SAY “I HAVE DEPRESSION OR ANXIETY AND I DON’T THINK IT WAS ABLEISM”, Or this one ) She answered this ask about ableism, apparently ignoring?? That her science is completely wrong and putting mental illness on this type of blog is literally framing us as creepy? And this apparently isn’t the only time someone has tried to educate her on why what she does is ableist. The day after / a couple days after she made that post, she reblogged an older one of her posts that uses the word “cr*zy″, which is considered by many to be an ableist slur because of it’s origin (read it’s Wikipedia descrip) and it’s use today in silencing mentally ill people; Never mind the fact she literally just said she refrains from using it. Failed step one. Other examples of her using those words she said she avoids: One, two, three, four, five Her description said at one time that she’s studying neuroscience, which is very frightening, because many neurodivergent people will be and have been abused by professionals refusing to even listen to their patients. (Here is a relevant comment) (WA) She posted a link to something called “shitmypatientssay”, a website/hashtag in which mental health professionals break patient confidentiality laws to post silly things their patients said. I’m not kidding, please check out my tag for that. (This shows what kind of neuroscience major she’s going to end up being, don’t you think?) ( A post about why getting into neuroscience / related studies because you find the way the brain works interesting can quickly become very harmful ) After I made my original callout, she answered a lot of questions and reblogged a lot of posts from people who had depression, anxiety, or both, saying they didn’t think she was ableist; ignoring the people with disorders she actually did demonize. Anxiety and depression were not used as plot tools, schizophrenia, DID, bipolar disorder, etc, but not once did she reply to posts made by people who had those. Also… Many times, people asked her to put warning tags on the stories she posted that contained rape or child sexual abuse and she always refused, because it would spoil it. (One) (Two) (She’s since started putting trigger warnings on some things, but I see no reason why posts about real life children or fictional children who were sexually abused need to be on a horror blog in the first place.) She messaged me, and here’s how our conversation went. In case you didn’t catch it the first time, I’ll point it out again. I said she should stop posting the real life stories of children who had survived sexual abuse on her horror blog, and she said “that’s what’s scariest in life”. Here’s a post about why that’s awful, but hopefully no one needs to be told. A person talks about how calling out Sixpenceee got them an extreme amount of hate, Another, Along these lines, I can’t find the asks in my archive right now, but someone went to my two closet friends’ inboxes and lied, saying I was a “white supremacist with several racist sideblogs who supports ferguson”. I don’t have a link to it, but more than one person recalls when Sixpenceee referred to an underage girl who was kidnapped as the girlfriend of her adult kidnapper. If you know it, please send me. Somebody made a text post about it here. Another post I can’t find is when Sixpenceee (who I believe, is white) mentioned her family in India has child servants, and said she “doesn’t condone child labor, but it’s better than working in a factory”. I can’t find this now? I had saved someone’s reblog of this post, but I cannot find it again; Multiple people remember it, at least. If you see it, please send it to me. Also: she reblogged this god awful antisemitic joke. Sixpenceee’s blog is apparently run by multiple people now, but the original blogger was literally proven by IP to have sent anon hate to three similar creepy blogs, and reported one repeatedly for gore. Another Sixpenceee masterpost, Another, Another, Another, Another, Yet Another, Quick rundown of events, Good comments left on my original callout, More, More, And on top of all this, Sixpenceee’s page is now a website with ads, and she sells shirts, meaning she’s literally making money off this content. It appears her blog is now run by multiple people, but I can assume the original blogger is still present, and she must take responsibility for these actions. One of the shirts Sixpenceee is selling are stolen, being used without artist permission! Email proof at link. Please stop reblogging and supporting her. This isn’t even technically everything, I probably forgot or missed something, so just see my /tagged/sixpenceee. I’m constantly reblogging new posts to there, so if there’s any questions you have, please see that. Hey guys, the links are fine if you change the pantlessking urls into aaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnn instead.OP changed URLs since they’ve made this post. Here y’all go, I’ve updated the links. I’m copypasting the post in its entirety to preserve context. —Mod Ghast of @sixpenceeeharmsplease stop reblogging / supporting sixpenceee ( with 3 e )Hi.
