It’s a bit late for Halloween, but this subclass is definitely inspired by eldritch horror. This is only my second ever Cleric subclass, although at first glance I wouldn’t blame you for mistaking it for a Warlock subclass since it shares a very similar vibe with the Great Old One patron. Yet while GOOlock derives power from ancient beings which may or may not come from the far realm, clerics who choose this subclass are definitely drawing their divine power from the far realm. All of the features here are inspired by what little we know about that horrible place, the mere sight of which is said to drive people insane. To create this subclass, I read extensively into aberrations from various books such as Star Spawn and Mind Flayers which are said to descend from the far realm, in order to get a good grasp of what exactly is the “deal” with the place. In the end, I think this subclass (which can ignore regular physics, cause strange mutations in the terrain and can read the minds of others) adequately reflects how messed up the far realm is. While exploring the idea of the far realm was really fun, another intention of mine with this subclass was to expand the list of ways a cleric can be designed and played, as I often feel they’re too shoehorned into characters which serve benevolent gods rather than deities which are more abstract and incompressible. If you want to grab a high quality PDF of this subclass, both pages are on my patron dropbox, as well as all my other stuff (including exclusive content and more races and subclasses which are also inspired by eldritch horror, like the Berbalang patron or the Ceremeld).
