uuuhshiny:secretallie:telaryn:susannahmccormick:no-stabbingwednesdays:#leverage#eliot spencer#what episode is this? The Big Bang Job. It’s the moment in the warehouse when Eliot looks down at the gun and decides to single-handedly kill all those dudes so Nate and the Italian can escape. The moment where the entire fandom realized what was about to happen and went OH SHIT.I wanted so badly to see someone give Eliot a hug in this episode. He knew exactly what he was doing when he decided to use that gun, knew that it would tear off another piece of his soul despite the fact that he thought he didn’t have many more pieces left to lose. But there was a price to be paid to get the job done, to keep his team safe and to stop Moreau from hurting more people. So Eliot paid that price, did the bloody work at the cost of his own conscience, all the while thinking, better him than the others. So I really, really wanted comfort for Eliot. I wanted him not to sleep alone that night. So my headcanon is this: After the confrontation with Moreau, they all go back to Nate’s apartment, ostensibly to plan for San Lorenzo, but the truth was that they were all too jittery to just go home to their separate places. They spend the night planning, and Eliot makes them dinner—they need to eat, and Eliot needs to use his hands to create something good, something nourishing and life-giving, after everything. After more planning, they just sort of nod off one by one, falling asleep in the living room, the bedroom upstairs ignored. It’s not very comfortable, and they’re all going to wake up sore and aching tomorrow, but that’s okay. It’s okay because Eliot wakes up five times that night, jerking awake from the couch where he’s slouched low with Hardison’s feet in his lap and Parker curled up on the seat turned towards them, and when he looks around he can see Nate and Sophie sleeping nearby, can calm his pounding heart by counting their breaths. And he thinks, Eliot thinks, he’d do it all over again, because they’re still here, they haven’t turned away, and if somehow they can take down Damien Moreau, then maybe he’ll get to keep this something good that he found.Damn it :((( Why are you doing this to me?WHY? -- source link
