This the third of eight aesthetics, I’ll be making for Blue, for MTH 2020!Thor Odinson x Bruce Banner - College Professors.On Ao3.Letting out a long, jaw cracking yawn, Bruce shuffles into the kitchen, smacking his hand blindly against the wall once, twice, before finally finding the light switch. Squinting at the sudden brightness, he makes his way towards the stove to turn the back burner on, where his already prepped kettle is sitting before reaching to the counter next to it and flips on the coffee pot. Swaying sleepily, he moves to plop down at the island, going through what his day should entail as he waits.He’s got his first class at seven twenty, that’ll he need to make sure he has wrapped up before nine, so that he can ensure he’s not late to meet with his department. Then he’s got his second class just after lunch, which means he could either squeeze in time to grade papers in his office during lunch or spend it tinkering away in the lab.Drumming his fingers against the table top, as he stares mindlessly at the coffee slowly beginning to fill up the pot, he thinks he might just go with visiting his husband, mostly because he’ll be spending most of the late afternoon and evening there with his grad students.No point in chancing he’ll get caught up in the lab and miss his last class of the day, when he can just get lost in his work afterwards. Especially since his husband will be working late as well, getting his own students wrangled and ironing out an upcoming trip he’ll be taking over summer break with his own students. Jumping slightly when he feels large, warm hands, land gently across his shoulders. Tilting his head back, he gives his husband a sleepy smile as the man ducks down to press a soft kiss to his temple.“Good morning, my love,” Thor rumbles, voice still sleep rough, as he leans against Bruce’s back.Letting out a soft hum, he leans back, moving both hands up to curl around Thor’s hands gently, who in turn flip his own around so they can entwine their hands together. “Morning. Coffee should be done soon.” Tilting his head back and face up, he grins into the kiss they share. “I’m surprised you’re up so early. I didn’t think you would be, since you don’t have classes until this afternoon.”“Wanted to make sure you had more than tea for breakfast,” he answers, pressing another kiss to the corner of Bruce’s mouth before straightening up. “So I set my alarm, to be able to make you breakfast before you left.”Bruce feels himself soften, melting back into the bulk behind him. “You didn’t have to do that, I was planning to just grab some muffins from the café on my way.”“But now you will have a hearty, home cooked meal instead,” Thor grinned brightly down at him, “Which is far better for you, my heart.” -- source link
