Phoenix Arms HP-22APeople who do not own one of these pistols call it a junk gun, people who do own one call it an excellent bargain. Because of its small price ($120-$150) this little pistol has been unfairly labeled a junk gun, but nothing can be further from the truth. I never seen or heard few owners give bad reviews of this gun. It is reliable, moderatly accurate, and long lasting. Many owners claim to have fired thousands of rounds through them with no problems. Some have claimed to have fired 10,000-20,000 rounds before experiencing wear or breakage. And when it does break, no worries, because it comes with a lifetime warranty. It is a good little .22 pistol for the budget minded shooter. The HP-22 does have some downsides. First it has a 350 round break in period, but with .22 ammo this should not be a problem. Second, it is single action only, which means it must be carried cocked and locked, but thats not a big problem. It does weigh a bit more than firearms of a similar size but thats manageable. The number one complaint about the HP-22 is that it has a magazine safety, a safety that must be operated in order to release the magazine (they are made in California). Many owners remove this feature from their pistols, but doing so voids the warranty.Phoenix Arms also makes a .25acp version called the HP-25. They also used to make other model firearms, most of them are junk, don’t buy them. -- source link
