He has to USE the injured one to suit up.Every piece of pain, humiliation, disapproval. Every piece of it that Tony endures in his quest to help Cap, so subtle, so quiet that you barely notice it.I don’t think I could have helped Cap in his place.I think I would have area bombed Siberia and called it good.Tony Stark, throughout this entire movie, was CONSTANTLY seeking to help Cap, at the expense of his reputation, his company, his health and his life. And what did he get for that? More pain and sorrow, that what. What he’s doing here is setting off on at least a 12-hour flight in the armor, all by himself, through this massive ocean storm and who knows what other kinds of weather – after escaping the Raft and a verrrry suspicious Thaddeus Ross, who could easily have locked Tony up for good and thrown away the key and called it an unfortunate helicopter accident. Tony’s been walking a very thin and dangerous line all through CA: CW, making Ross believe he’s toeing the line while actually he’s just quietly, desperately trying to keep the Avengers together and trying to save their miserable lives. And what does he get for that? More pain, more sorrow, mocking and suspicion. All for trying his best to do the right things. He is so much better than me. I’d have been like: That’s how you wanna act? That’s how you wanna be? Fuck it. I’m going home, you fucking pricks have fun. Say hi to the wrong end of Ross’s special SWAT team.Oh my God, Tony goddamn fucking Stark. I can’t even describe how much I love this character. -- source link
