owl-and-the-moon:zeezrom:Pamela Colman Smith, English, 1878 - 1951.Pamela Colman Smith illustrated what is known as the Rider-Waite tarot deck (now more properly known as Waite-Smith deck) which was the first tarot deck popularized for divinitory purposes. She began studying illustration at the age of 15 and illustrated for Bram Stoker, William Butler Yeats, the movement for women’s suffrage in Great Britain and the Red Cross during World War I.
