The title “The Thousand Blades” can be seen as a very loose translation of the Latin title on the card.The name of Jack’s artifact does not appear on the card, but it should be discussed. The Japanese script for the name is ホ・ヘーロース・メタ・キーリオーン・プロソーポーン, which represents the Greek phrase ὁ Ἥρως μετὰ Χιλίων Προσώπων, transliterated as ho Hērōs meta Khīliōn Prosōpōn, meaning “The Hero with a Thousand Faces.” That is no doubt intended to be a reference to the famous book with that name by Joseph Campbell.Card from here. -- source link
