30 Day Anime Challenge - Day 16While the ‘best animated’ anime will always be a hot topic for debate, and I’m sure a lot of you will disagree here, I personally believe that - out of all the series I’ve seen - that the title belongs to Zero No Tsukaima. Also known as 'The Familiar of Zero’, this series can be compared to an anime Harry Potter, if you will. Story about a magical school, where normal, human stuff like TVs and planes aren’t known of. Sure, it’s perverted, but that’s nothing new in an anime, and it’s not why I’m posting it here. The reason I’ve posted it is because of the art style. It’s so fluid and crisp, yet it doesn’t exaggerate features all the time (except for a couple of females having enormous boobs; yet another common feature in anime).I mean, just look at that scene above. The people look like people, the sky looks like the sky. It just looks… natural. Yet also aesthetically pleasing. And that’s what I think is ideal for modern anime.Of course, this does put older anime at a disadvantage, but in a contest judging purely on aesthetics, they’d fail to keep up anyway. Props to Sword Art Online for also being considered. -- source link
