Sarah is from the Philippines. Sarah’s father was imprisoned for drug dealing when she was a young woman, she didn’t know how to cope and her life spiraled out of control.Sarah channeled her anger and disappointment into drinking and rebelling against her family, and she stopped going to school. “I belittled myself so much. I lost hope in everything and I had no home to go back to.”Her situation turned around when she went to stay in a Christian home for young people, run by a pastor with support from Open Doors. “I noticed that they had a sense of assurance in them that I wanted to have for myself. And I found it only in Jesus Christ.”Her newfound faith in Christ gave her the strength to leave her old life and start anew. She wanted to share with her family what she had found in Christ. They were all Muslims, so it wasn’t going to be easy, but she didn’t lose heart and served them through simple acts of kindness and love. After years, Sarah’s mom and sister have also become Christians.Pray for Sarah and people like her who encounter God’s accepting, transforming love. Pray they would be bold in sharing what they’ve found in Jesus. Pray for yourself that you would be bold in sharing faith with those who might think they don’t deserve love. -- source link
