━ episode 7 : FINALE ; august 8th, 2019  • #5047THE INTERVIEWmentioned :@rkkyul, @rksihyeon, @rkyuri, @rknak, @rksuwoong, @rkheejin, @rkariel, @rkkyungsooon thusday they’re caught by surprise, each shooed off to a separate room to do their interviews. since the finale will be live, they won’t have time to do their interviews after the performances, so they need to be recorded prior to the performnces, which is odd to xuxi, since the interview has always been a wind down, conclusion type thing to each week. even so, as he’s put into another room, away from his team, he readies himself for the questions. he’s used to this by now, and thinks he’s got this interview thing under control. “this is your very last interview. how does that make you feel?”“honestly, sort of sad. i’ve liked these interviews, i guess. there’s no real pressure to say this or that, i can just conclude each week with these interviews, and arrange my thoughts about the week better. sometimes it goes by so fast and hectic that it’s hard to remember what happened. being able to talk about it in the interviews has been nice. it’s reminded me of things i think i would’ve forgotten otherwise. but… it’s exciting to be in the finals, and this sort of signifies that - my last interview. i made it this far… guess all i have to do now is win, right?”“what did you think of the results last week?”the questions seems targeted at xuxi, and he’s sure if he was editing these interviews himself he’d put a clip of himself crying his eyes out on stage the week before up for everyone to see. “well, i think it was pretty obvious how i felt.” he comments with a frown and a sigh. “losing JIEQIONG … it really hurt the whole team, not just me. i know i’ve been really vocal in my support for her from the start, and we finally got to work together, only for her to be eliminated. it sucked, because she was so, so worth her spot in the competition…but i can’t lie and say i wish it had been me instead. it’s a competition for a reason, and though we lose people along the way, the goal is always a selfish one. we all want to win, no matter who we leave behind.”“and, how was it working with you group again?”“amazing. honestly i couldn’t have asked for better people to work with. i love them, truly. they’ve become some of my greatest friends over these past two weeks, and three for YURI. we work together really well, and i have so much respect for these girls. they truly are forces to be reckoned with. i genuinely think SIA could be president or something. that girl is… incredible. she can do anything she puts her mind to!”“and how was it working with your coaches? i know the eclipse girls weren’t there in person much but did you get to contact them for help?”“they still kept in contact - we face-timed them a bit, ARIEL especially. she helped us with thinking of a group name. she also gave us these glove-cuff things, the girls had lacey-beaded ones and i had this leather one with a silver spider, for our name, black widow, on it. we’re gonna wear them for our ‘get it’ stage.”“so, how do you think you’ll do.”“well, of course, we want to win. i think we’re doing amazingly well. the girls are so great, honestly breathtaking. i’m really honoured to have been able to work with them. we’ve all put so much into our performances and preparing for them this week that it’s hard to imagine it not being enough, y’know? we’re telling a story, not just giving the audience a couple performances with no background - they know us, they know what we performed last week, they’ll understand when they see how the story continues.”“are there any performances you’re looking forward to?”“i think royal team. they have a really balanced team, even though HEEJIN is the only girl, i think she can hold her own. KYUNGSOO - well, everyone knows he’s got a great voice, and SUWWOONG is an incredible dancer. i’ve seen how he works, and he’s a lot of fun, so i think they’ll produce something awesome. not as good as ours will be, of course,” he gives a playful grin and short laugh “but i think there’s will be good.”“what were some of your favourite performances this season?”“JIEQIONG’s first performance. her ballet dance. well, there was the other bits but… i love ballet. it’s what made me totally fall for her, y’know- not in that way! i mean fall for her as a performer. i love her dancing, and i always will. after that i think i’d have to say her performance with SUWOONG. it was… steamy but tasteful. they’re probably my two favourite dancers from the competition.”“and what was your favourite of your own performances?”xuxi hums, then smiles. “i think it’ll be this final one. we’ve put more into this than i think we’ve ever put into anything before - well i know i’ve not put as much work into something like this since i was a figure skater. i can’t really speak for the girls. that, or last weeks, when we had JIEQIONG with us.” his smile drops as he remembers how she won’t be with them this week, not physically on stage at least.“who do you think will win.”“us. we’ve got to. we’ve put so much of our hearts and souls into this that to not win… well it would be devastating.” -- source link
