━ episode 6; august 1st, 2019  • #5047THE INTERVIEWmentioned : @rkyuri, @rksihyeon, @rkkyul, @rknak, @haseulrk, @rkariel, @rkxluda, @rkmason, @danielxrk, @rkheejin, @rkyejias with every week, the interviews arrive, and xuxi’s more nervous than he was last week, when it wasn’t the semi finals, and he hasn’t realised just how close to the end it was. this time, though, he knows the stakes are high, that his chance of making it through are lower than they were the week before, and that if he does make it through he’s still not guaranteed anything - he’d still have to worry even more again over whether he’s going to make it to trc or not, whether this whole journey will take him where he wants to go, or not.“so, tell me, what did you think of last weeks results? how did it feel to be in the top three again?”“as great as it was i’ve yet to get best performance. of course, i’m so, so happy i was even in the top three more than once. but… it doesn’t guarantee you anything, as evidenced by yuqi’s elimination. she got top three, an then bam, she was out. it’s nice to be told you did a good job, but it doesn’t mean you’re safe.”“and, what did you think when the coaches first appeared? were you happy with being picked for the kt team?”“it was… weird, y’know. seeing celebrities up close like that. not that we don’t see the ceo’s every week, but it’s different because they’re like us. they went though the same stuff, they know what this is all like, and look where they are now! i was sort of hoping i’d get picked for the trc team, since i’m trying to get signed by trc, but kt was nice, the girls from ECLIPSE, and LUDA, were really lovely. they gave us lots of pointers and tips and helped as much as they could, maybe even more than they had to. the best thing was probably being put in team with JIEQIONG!”“what was it like working with the people in your group?”“it was great! i already worked with YURI, and SIA practised in the trc room with us last week, so i already knew they both quite well, so it was comfortable having familiar faces to work with. it was lovely to get to work with NAKYUNG and JIEQIONG though, since i haven’t before. i think we got along well, and were suited to each other. of course, there was a lot of work to do, and the girls all did amazing jobs choreographing and mixing music. i think my job was to accidentally create a good group name, suggest cute outfits, and provide everyone with food, drinks and happiness. i’ve been told my smile is infectious.”“what was it like working with the coaches?”“surprisingly relaxed. they didn’t feel like how i thought they would. i was sort of expecting them to act a lot more.. formal? but they really did treat us like friends they wanted to help not because they were expected to but because they wanted to. i’ll always be thankful to them for their tips and advice.”“how do you think your performance went?” “i think it went really well! i feel like it was probably a bit easier for the girls to get a hang of some of the dance moves because they all have these super flexible hips while mine just don’t want to move that way, but i think i got it in the end. perseverance! well, that and i had a lot of help from the girls. i think, thanks to us all working so well together we did well. it all comes down to teamwork, because if we hadn’t worked so well together and trusted each other, we might not have performed exactly like how we practised it.”“is there anyone you think we’ll for sure be seeing next week?”“well, i don’t know whether i’m biased in saying SIA, but she’s done really well so far, so i think it’s safe to say she’ll be there. MINHO and DANIEL probably too, i don’t think anyone would be surprised by that though. also HEEJIN and YEJI , they’ve been doing really well so far.”“thank you, that’s all.” -- source link
