。˚∘ ❤❣ evaluation 7/12: september ❣ paradise lost - gain❣ outfit [view + black nylons][ gif credit ]this was it, chungha thinks to herself. it was going to be one tame performance by her standards.she heavily resisted overhauling most choreography. realistically she couldn’t: she wasn’t much to choreograph things so cleanly — just a new move here and there — and she wasn’t well versed in contemporary which is the genre the dance was inspired by in some of its moves. as much as she wanted to add some flair, she couldn’t the song was slow and sensual and it forced chungha to slow down as well.she does manage to do something new to make the choreography at least a teensy bit more eye catching. a leg lift at the start of the second verse because she felt like the choreography was lame without the two dancers. she snapped her leg down and squatted into the position the two girls had and from there she slowly spread into a split, swinging her legs around to bring her knees together. she threw her head back, like she was looking for penance from god himself. a part of her was tempted to dress as eve just for this part but then it would be a little too on-the-nose.she makes sure to move slow: the circle of her hips as she raises her hands in the air then brings them down in a prayer, her fingers dancing in opposite directions along her collarbone. she never did anything overtly lewd: never grabbed at her chest or gestured to her crotch. it was supposed to be tantalising so chungha never did a move that was extremely sexually charged. in fact, this was supposed to be her first sin: her interpretive dance should have some hesitance and inexperience with them.what she did do, at the very least, was change the dance break and give it a little more meat to it. she does the beginning of it right up until the roll backwards. instead of just sliding around on the ground, she goes into a split directly after the roll. she does some hand motions while in the split before bringing her knees and arms in like she’s hugging herself. she rolls to the right on her shoulder then reaches out dramatically, like asking for saving. then she rolls her neck in a circle, eyes rolling back: she’s given into the temptation. the paradise is lost.she rises, hitting the adlib with practised ease. it wasn’t too bad but she is a bit breathless after the more strenuous choreography than what was originally there. she strides forward, hands on her hips just as the songstress does. instead of bending over in the final move, she puts the back of her hand to her forehead as if she’s a bit faint, her other hand reaching out to god himself as she allows her body to sink, as if she’s being pulled away one final time from god’s graces. -- source link
