The Sherman Brothers were Walt Disney’s go-to guys when it came to good music for his films because they told stories through the songs they wrote. Some of the Brother’s most famous songs are “Chim Chim Cher-ree”, “Lets go fly a kite”,”Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious”,”Feed the Birds” and “Step in Time”, from Mary Poppins. They also composed other popular songs for the Jungle Book like “I Wanna be Liked You”, and “Trust in Me.” But perhaps their most famous and most well known song is “It’s a small world (after all)”, a song that’s been translated into many different languages and is known all over the world. It never occurs to most people that just two guys could make such an impact on generations of children through the songs they’ve composed in movies, and I hope we can remember that the Sherman Brothers created those great songs that we will remember all our lives. They have a lot of their early songs on YouTube where they also tell interesting stories about Walt and the Brothers’ lives if you want to know more about them. -- source link
