Good advice. Similar to, “Never trust people who tip badly, and speak down to waitstaff and other service industry workers.” Both attitudes stem from a similar root: blind self-importance. Whatever your degree or place in a company, say good-morning to the janitorial staff and mail-room workers, and be nice to the plumber and electrician, unless you can fix that shit yourself. And if you’re angry about something a company is doing, don’t take it out on the cashier or floor staff, and if you do yell, be sure to tell them, “I’m not mad at you.”Courtesy, like “nice,” is not a dirty word. :-) -- source link
