Vinyls for some of them too. Click the links below the artist and album to cop their albums! #1 Tupac Shakur- All of them, considered by many to be the GOAT and with such a massive amount of music it’s hard to narrow it down to an album, delivering his message after message one song at a time. The Hate U Give Little Infants Fucks Everybody Buy his greatest hits album here! #2/#1 Nas- Illmatic, very simply put the greatest single work of Hip Hop put out in one album, I could write a whole article about Nas and I probably will, straight out the fuckin’ dungeons of rap. Buy Illmatic here! #3 Wu-Tang Clan – 36 Chambers. Shame on a nigga who don’t listen to this fuckin’ album. The lyrical genius of the Wu-Tang Clan Brings da Ruckus on each and every track. Word to shaolin, peace. Buy 36 Chambers here! #4 DMX – It’s Dark and Hell is Hot and Flesh of my Flesh Blood of my Blood- You see the rest they lookin like they need a rest. I couldn’t separate these two albums, his debut album and second album came out only 6 months apart and they’re both packed with hits. It goes from some of the hardest raps, back to prayers and emotional songs like Slippin’. The dog is still here and just dropped another album not too long ago. ROOF ROOF RUFF RYDERS! Buy It’s Dark and Hell is Hot Here! Buy Flesh of my Flesh Blood of my Blood here! #5 Kanye West – The College Dropout Hate all you want on the international asshole, but the dude is a musical genius, bringing back the jazz and soul into rap with his debut album. Get all of his college trilogy, matter of fact go cop all his shit and listen to the evolution into what it is today. Old School Kanye brings it back for me tho. Section 80 and Good Kid: M.A.A.D City, are filled with the soul of hip hop from back in the day. Bringing the message to improve our situation and make moves, even his radio song Swimming Pools has hidden meaning behind what it’s played for. It’s dope and actually gets me excited for hip hop again. I’m gonna link both albums because it’s all about the message and spreading the good. HiiiPower Buy Good Kid: M.A.A.D City here! Buy Section 80 here! #6 A Tribe Called Quest - People’s Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm here I’m bringin in some of the originators, one of the greatest Hip Hop groups and actual smart thinking rap, Look at the title of their album. This is their debut album, but they have plenty of other great music, would be worth checking out their greatest hits and other albums that could make the list. I hope you didn’t leave your wallet in El-Segundo. Buy People’s Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm Special buy is the Vinyl LP pack for People’s Instinctive, Low End Theory, and Midnight Marauders click here! #7 Eminem - The Slim Shady LP Eminem showed the world that white people can rap too. Plus he goes insane over all his shit and his songs are extremely fucked up and somewhat depressing. He calls out the industry entirely and still happens to leave bits of important messages to people here and there, amidst some other crazy ass shit. Will the real Slim Shady please stand up? Buy The Slim Shady LP here! #8 Dr. Dre – The Chronic although we’re still waitin on the second one simply put this one gets it because it aint nuthin but a G thang. Buy The Chronic here! #9 Geto Boys – We Can’t Be Stopped Headlined by the song Mind Playin’ Tricks on Me, the song encompasses the story of Bushwick Bill’s suicide attempt in which his girlfriend slapped the gun away from him and he shot out his eye. The album cover is a picture of the group wheeling him through the hospital in a hospital bed. With such a hard hitting song alongside other hits, this album definitely makes my list. Buy We Can’t Be Stopped here! #10 Outkast – Stankonia Andre 3000 is one of the greatest of all time. Bombs over Baghdad and Ms. Jackson enough said. Buy Stankonia here!
