I love this one… painted with a truly beautiful @holbeinartistmaterials transluscent watercolor, Marine Blue, introduced to me by @naomivandoren during an art workshop. It’s a pretty powerful, punchy blue, and a little goes a long way!.Frozen Stone (April 6, 2021).Stones of Story and Myth (26 of ?).Deep inside the kingdom of Caer Talkenna, near the headwaters of the River Seer, stands the Frozen Stone. Most of Caer Talkenna is blanketed by snow much of the year, even though the kingdom lies far to the south. A few short years after the Wilder was established, the Lighterelf caster, Gereth Medhed, opened the gate stone to lands of the north to help his people escape a raiding party of the Sounding Deeps. During the ensuing chaos, Medhed was struck down and his power consumed by the stone. The surge of magic created resulted in the gate stone inverting the portal with catastrophic effects. Ever since that day, within the kingdom of Caer Talkenna, sits a permanently frozen parcel of territory that encompasses the majority of the kingdom.
