I just completed Undertale.At first I was a bit skeptical of this game. Over the last few weeks I had seen a lot of “OHMEGURD BEST GAEM EVER” and “SO MANY FEELSUH” posts about it that kinda turned me off on playing it. But at the insistence of one of my best friends I finally gave it a try.For the record, I did go a complete pacifist run of the game. Given the ending, I am really glad I did. I can’t really say much about the game because everything about it is a spoiler. It’s definitely an experience I’d recommend to anyone who likes video games.A couple weeks ago I posted about how much I enjoyed The Beginner’s Guide. Something I really enjoyed about it was that I felt it was an experience that could only happen in a video game. Undertale is similar in that it utilizes it’s medium so well that it would be impossible to do it any other way. The gameplay is a mix of turn-based RPG’s and Touhou-style bullet hell games and the way it plays is intertwined with the story in a very unique way.
