[NEWS] Fire Force: Two Performances for the “Enn Enn no Shouboutai Stage -Hakai no Hana, Souzou no Oto-” have been CancelledYesterday (January 27, 2022), cancellations of the first and second “Fire Force Stage -Hakai no Hana, Souzou no Oto-” performance in Osaka (scheduled for January 27, 2022 and January 28, 2022) were announced because someone on the cast and crew had fallen sick. Thus far, no information has been released about the identity of the company member who has fallen sick and about what the illness is.The status of the remaining performances remains unconfirmed. I apologise for the personal tone of this update because I would also like to raise an awareness of the current COVID-19 situation in Japan, and how it’s still affecting the 2.5D industry. Japan has seen a sharp increase in their number of COVID-19 infections since the start of this year, jumping from approximately 500 daily cases nationwide in December 2021 to approximately 78,000 daily cases nationwide in January 2022. In Osaka alone (where the Fire Force Stage is having their performances), approximately 9,000 daily cases have been recorded. Due to the worsening COVID-19 situation, many stageplays and events have been cancelled (and are still facing the risk of cancellation) with company members falling ill and testing positive for COVID-19. This comes directly after the complete lockdown of the 2.5D industry and entertainment industry in 2020 and the many cancellations in 2021.
