Mysterious Mail Bombs Kill Two People The city of Austin, Texas has been on high alert since the unsuspecting bombing deaths of two men, 39-year-old Anthony House and 17-year-old Draylon Mason. In the early morning hours of March 2nd, 2018, Draylon received a package at his front door and brought it into the kitchen. Upon opening the box, it exploded and killed the boy, also causing severe injuries to his mother. Only a few hours later, Anthony House had also received a similar package, only to suffer the same fate as Draylon. The last explosion came around noon, when 75-year-old Esperanza Herrera was sent a mysterious explosive package. Luckily for Herrera, she was only wounded in the attack. Authorities were scrambling to find the source of the explosive pieces of mail. As the three other boxes were not sent by either FedEx or UPS, police were urging all Texans not to approach or open any boxes that they weren’t expecting or sent by the listed postal services. Authorities are also beginning to investigate the attack as a possible hate-crime, as the two victims were African-American. As for Herrera, police suspect that the woman had unknowingly opened a package intended for someone else, who they believe could’ve been African-American as well. It is clear that the explosions could be politically-motivated or what authorities describe as, ‘trying to send a message.’ As of right now, no suspects have been reported and Austin authorities are still notifying all about the mysterious packages. The Texas governor, Gregg Abbott has offered a $115k to anyone who can give information in regards to the murder. You can either call Austin’s Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-8477 or submit an online tip here -- source link
