SHU HAN OR BUST, BABY. I always end up sidling back into Romance of the Three Kingdoms whenever I feel extra homesick– sort of like reaching for comfort food, I think. Sometimes only a melodramatic imperial Chinese mythistory in seven thousand volumes can scratch that particular itch! It’s not every fandom that allows me to have a bias who 1. controls the wind, 2. invents dumplings, and 3. dies of loyalty. So here are Kongming and Zilong again. By this point I’ve been stanning them so intensely for so long that I can no longer distinguish between canon and fanon :( One of these days I’m really going to embarrass myself in the middle of an otherwise kosher conversation about RoTK by being like “Zhao Yun’s so sweet though, remember when Zhuge Liang first came to the Shu camp and Zhao Yun was assigned to personal guard duty and they bonded over the beauty of the moonlight settling over the rushes” NO, LITERALLY NO PART OF THAT EVER HAPPENED OUTSIDE OF FICS, GET IT TOGETHER, SELFAnyway, there was a sketch that I meant to finish at some point, but then I lost the SAI file so I started over! Go me. Well at least I have the consolation of Kongming and Zilong going on leisurely dates during work hours by patrolling the villages once a month (NO THAT NEVER HAPPENED EITHER) -- source link
