Yuyuan Gardens during the Lantern Festival! Just imagine this level of crowdedness but even worse, and that’s how the bridge was. There are structures, huge lantern figures of popular Chinese historical and fictional characters (even Three Kingdoms people!), around the bridge. Since EVERYONE wanted to see the structures around the bridge and take pictures, it was packed! Not even NYC subways or Times Square packed, you literally couldn’t move your arms and had to be taken along with the slow-moving crowd to the end of the bridge, with everyone stopping along the way to (attempt) to take pictures. I’ve never experienced this before! It was intense, but it was a lot of fun for me. I know people would get annoyed at this type of situation, but I loved the new feelings and the adventure of it all! -- source link
