Anti-Feminist Commenters Are LazyI normally don’t respond to anti-feminist commenters and inbox messages, but this one was was such a classic case of the Fry “not sure” meme that I had to share.A person commenting on a post from a feminist blog criticizes feminists for not caring about the issue being discussed in the post. One of two things is happening here:1. This is a cleverer troll than most, and they have succeeded in drawing me out by displaying such cluelessness that I had to mock them.2. The commenter was simply using the old “why don’t feminists care about women in other countries?” anti-fem argument without taking the 2 seconds to mouse over  the source of the post and see it IS a feminist blog. (BTW this argument was recently in the news when Maisie Williams brought up Emma Watsons’ “First World” feminism. For my response to that tired and groundless argument, see “How to Counter Anti-Feminist Arguments - The “What About the Women in ____” Argument”. I’ve been thinking this is a case of #2 (lazy anti-fem), but now I’m starting to feel it’s #1 (crafty troll). -- source link
