Blue Ridge Parkway at 1,845m (6,053 feet), Autumn, North Caolina 2009.Taken from Richland Balsam viewpoint, the highest point on the Blue Ridge Parkway in the section south and west of Asheville usually closed in winter. This was taken in mid-October and there was already some ice along the parkway. Missed our more-or-less annual drive on at least a part of the Parkway in 2016. -- source link
