14 July. National day in France.With a few friends, we wanted to find the perfect place to watch the fireworks. It’s not that easy, because Paris is full of hundred of thousands of people trying to watch the spectacle as well. I wanted to do a cinemagraph, so I needed a good place to shoot the fireworks. You don’t have fireworks in Paris every day!We decided to find a rooftop. So we walked around to find a scaffolding to climb.It’s illegal, but we don’t harm anyone, we just want to enjoy the show. It was quite exciting!After passing by a police checkpoint, we finally find a scaffolding, wait for a quiet moment, and jump on it. We climb without a sound, up to the roof.It’s not easy when you have a camera, lenses, and a tripod on your back by the way!At the end, it was perfect. Perfect place to watch, and nobody on the roof.It took a little bit of courage and boldness, but was really worth it! -- source link
