Mission: Impossible - ep. 15 The LegacyOnly 22 years after WWII and the world is till reeling from the horrors of the Holocaust - society traumatized by the realization that the ‘civilized world’ committed brutal murderous genocide against members of their own nations that were Jewish. Many adventure / sci fi tv shows had episodes about Nazis. Season 1 of Mission Impossible had two. This first one feels a little ridiculous. The sons of escaped Nazis meet up to reclaim Nazi fortune from a Swiss bank account. First, such fortune would have been the stolen property of millions of Jews. Second, the episode depicts the second generation Nazis as extremely dangerous and I don’t get why. They weren’t raised in a society that allowed them to feel powerful and they don’t have any military or para military training. The premise isn’t good. The most ridiculous part was during the shootout at the end. Team leader Briggs is shot in the chest so they are now 3 against 2 Neo Nazis and all 3 continue with the fight - non of them think to stop to apply pressure Briggs’s wound. He is left to bleed for some time - yet he survives this. lol It’s an okay episode - average.Martin Landau is playing Rollin’ as he pretends to be one of the Nazis. Must not have been easy for him on a personal level. Lee Bergere been on many tv shows. He played Abraham Lincoln on the Star Trek TOS episode The Savage Curtain.John Crawford played the arrogant Commissioner on the Star Trek TOS episode The Galileo Seven. -- source link
