Abree was an Army wife who was living on base near Hunter Army Airfield in Georgia. Her husband was deployed in South Korea at the time of her death. Abree’s body was found after the Fort Stewart military police conducted a welfare check at her home. Details about Abree’s cause of death have not been revealed at this time, however investigators have revealed that they believe Abree knew her killer. Authorities are also asking people to be on the look out for a black Honda Accord, with a Georgia license plate RLQ1762. The car was found to be missing from Abree’s home when her body was discovered. Additionally, there is a $20,000 reward for tips to help solve Abree’s murder. Davis was arrested in June 2019 and he has pleaded not guilty to the charges. Further details, such as motive, have not been revealed at this time. The case is currently pending. UPDATE: Stafon Davis has pleaded guilty to murdering Abree Boykin. After pleading guilty, it was revealed that Davis and Abree had known each other since childhood. Davis reportedly shot Abree to death inside her home during the early morning hours of July 9th, 2018. Her body was discovered the following day.After shooting Abree, Stafon left fled from her home in her car. He then called a man named Devin Ryan to ask him to help get rid of the vehicle. Davis and Ryan met while in jail on previous charges. Both men were on federal supervised release at the time of the murder. Still, Ryan agreed to help Davis get rid of the car. The two met up in Hardeeville, South Carolina. Ryan brought a container of gasoline. Together, Davis and Ryan poured the gasoline inside the car before setting it on fire. The remains of the car were taken to a salvage yard and scrapped before police could track it down. In December 2020, Ryan pleaded guilty to the use of fire in commission of a federal felony.
