State Capitol, Dover, Delaware, 1969.Although I have been in Delaware countless times, mostly passing through on Amtrak or I-95 enroute to Philadelphia and points north and east, I have taken very few pictures in the state. Deep in my collection are some shots of the Blackwater Wildlife Refuge taken in the 1970s along with this 1969 photo of the state capitol in Dover. In an effort to post shots of most of the states I have visited, I am posting this one. A few other states, including Alabama, Hawaii, and Mississippi will be omitted because I have spent little time in them and thus have very few pictures. My pictures taken on my only extended visit to Louisiana were all discarded because they were 35 mm slides on some kind of weird film I used in the 1970s, probably because it was cheap. The slides are faded beyond recognition. -- source link
