The idea of the Nixels being cloned, along with the minor discrepancies between a few, ended up giving me ideas, and so, here are the Nixed Nixels! One time, the Nixels got lucky. The cloning machine got clogged, and a lot of Nixel DNA got pumped into one base at once. This gave them Muscle Nixel, a very powerful weapon in the Nixel army. Unfortunately for the Nixels, this only worked once, and their other attempts at making new and powerful Nixels has led to rejects that were planned to be unceremoniously scrapped to restart all over again. However, they turn their backs, and they’re gone. These “reject Nixels” have run off, forming a team together to hide from the treachery of the Nixels, learn about Mixels, and form a coup against the society that planned to get rid of them, in a group they called the Nixed Nixels.Stacks was the first attempt in directly copying the glitch that caused Muscle Nixel. Only instead of horizontal, she went vertical. A bit clumsy thanks to unfortunate limb placement, she’s very apologetic and frantic, worrying that she gets in the way. She acts as the lookout of the team, thanks to a combo of height and litheness.“The Twins”, also known as Left and Right, are what happens when a Nixel is almost done being cloned, but the conveyor belt pulls the clone back in by mistake and adds another clone to the newly-formed base. The two might share separate brains, but this connection also means they’re in sync, in their movements, their ideas, and their plans. Speck is the result of Muscle Nixel’s creation. While he got tons and tons of Nixel DNA pumped into him, it wasn’t an “even” amount, and the lingering amount formed a too-tiny Nixel. Despite being the eldest in hindsight, she is the most immature thanks to the information trauma split also taking parts of her “base personality”. Despite her personality quirks, she’s well-suited for spying thanks to her size.Teradiance…is not a Nixel. Rather, she’s a Glowkie bat that decided to do a little bit of spying to find any cracks in the Nixel foundation. Using some hastily put-on facepaint and some gloves, she decided her disguise is good enough. However, thanks to circumstances, she’s found herself tangled with the Nixed Nixels instead. Acting fast, she gave herself the nickname of “Splotch”, and she lets them pretend she’s a Nixel, too. Hopefully her cover stays fine…Marble was practically created perfectly…if it wasn’t for that toner incident. Now, shell colors splatter on their body, while their shell has pieces of their body attached in color, not fitting for a “standard Nixel”. Dissilusioned from the Nixels thanks to practically being “perfect aside from their color”, they act as the leader of the Nixed Nixels, both due to craftiness, smarts, and a very nasty vendetta that they’re holding. They’re very close to figuring out that “Splotch” isn’t who she says, but they’ve decided to stay low on that for now.Fla-nix is what happens when the Nixels get a bad idea. If the Mixels are so powerful, why not just make their own? Taking some DNA from the strongest and smartest Mixel ever, and combining it with the DNA basis of the cloning machine lead to…well, this monstrosity. Nixel bodies aren’t meant to contort this way, nor are they supposed to be entirely on fire. Also, turns out that putting the traits of the strongest and smartest Mixel means a Nixel that’s against Nixels. Now, Fla-nix is living in pain, terrified of his own self-being, and is a Frankenstein of a monster in the eyes of Mixels, Nixels, and himself. No word on if Cubits work for him or not yet, though… -- source link
