Happy New Year! Somewhere on the Earth Today, a volcano is erupting! The San Miguel Volcano in El Salvador is making the news. Tolbachik in the Kamchatka Penninsula. The stratovolcano Mt Erebus in Antarctica is adding another “strato.” Etna’s at it again (and again and again). Surprisingly, Iceland is pretty quiet. Perhaps resting up for something spectacular in 2014? And the Tungurahua Volcano of Ecuador (shown in this photo) has been quiet now for a couple years. Keep track with us at The Earth Story.
