The Hanged ManAt Erribal House, Labasheeda, County Clare, the terrifying figure of a hanged man used to appear, his head wrested violently to one side by the rope. It was the ghost of a man called Letherly, who has been hanged for murder early in the nineteenth century. A member of the Mc Doe family, who lived in the house, had sat on the jury which condemned him. Late in the century the house was exorcized in order to rid of the baleful spectre and until this day the hanged man has never been seen again.  -- source link
