Nuclear blast effect on a house / part of Operation Doorstep, a study by the Federal Civil Defense Administration in conjunction with Upshot-Knothole Annie, a 16kt nuclear test (roughly equivalent to the weapon used on Hiroshima in 1945) / Nevada, March 17, 1953.There were two houses used in the study; this is house #1, located 3,500 feet (approx. two-thirds of a mile or one kilometer) from ground zero.
