satanspersonal666:☆SENSORY BOX TUTORIAL☆ Okay so I was asked on another blog to make a post about my sensory box and how to make one, so here ya go! What is a sensory box: it’s a box (or other container) that contains objects that stimulate your 5 senses. I learned about it and made mine in a psych hospital. How do you do it: 1. Acquire a container 2. Decorate it if you wish 3. Gather things to put in it - Touch: things with different textures - Sight: things with different colors and patterns -Smell: things that are scented (I sprayed vanilla body spray on my carpet squares) -Sound: things that make noise -Taste: things you can eat (I have gum and cough drops) What I have in mine: bells, play doh, slime, squish balls, puffs, dinosaurs, bubbles, ribbon, beads, hand sanitizer, tattoos, stickers, shells, marbles, string, fidget spinner, fidget cube, sand, paper cranes, feathers, and tissue paper (I’m definently forgetting things though) I obviously can’t fit all of these in my box, but most of them do fit. I also carry a puff, a fidget spinner, play doh, and a squish ball in my bag at all times in case I need it when I’m not home What is it good for: grounding, distraction, calming. I use it when I’m anxious or having flashbacks or when im manic or when I was to self harm, but use it whenever you need it! I had most of this stuff around my house, but I bought some of it at the dollar store or the clearance bin at target. Okay so that’s it- good luck and have fun! -- source link
