In the first cap, there is a great close up to end episode one. The camera man just a few seconds earlier actually bashed into the set. Unfortunately in this earliest studio, the cameras were so old that they couldn’t actually zoom in on the actors. They either had to move the camera forward, or as here, the actor walks right up to the camera and looks into it. Quite effective though as he walks like it’s right at you.John was in Doctor Who twice more, in ‘The Smugglers’ and ‘Colony in Space’. He was fantastic. -- source link
