Fox News thinks so, calling it a “great warning … meant to protect the kids.”Nothing says “protecting our students” like an infinite promise of deadly force for whatever they project as a threat.Using this logic, the students will all have guns. More guns around children is not a good idea.The possibility that any one of the students themselves may be considered a threat (let’s say the teacher’s 5 foot nothing, has joints that go snap crackle pop, and some 6’4” teenage boy is acting like a jackass)  doesn’t come up.  Nor does the idea that a stressed and underpaid teacher, who these same people want to deny union security and pensions, might snap. But it should. It really fucking should.Food for thought for the crowd who’s laws and policies have failed to prevent any school shootings thus far:If you wouldn’t trust someone with a gun, why would you trust them with a child? -- source link
