Migrating Sea IceAlong the eastern coast of Greenland, a strong current flows from north to south. During the winter, sea ice forms off the Greenland coast and is pulled southwards by this current. This sea ice is seen here swirling into the ocean near the southern tip of Greenland. This image comes from early January, when the Greenland winter is close to its most intense.-JBBImage credit: NASA/EOhttp://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/IOTD/view.php?id=80082 -- source link
