neoyi: This is one of my favorite scenes in the show and I really dig the dynamic between Danny and Jazz purely because their sibling bond is dramatically different than what you’d see in a typical kid’s show. There is no “rivalry” or general brother/sister antagonism. Danny’s never the “annoying, bratty little brother” (largely because he’s kind of old for that) and spends the first half of the show doing his damnest to avoid his sister and for good reason; she IS noisy and gets into people’s personal space. The interesting part is that she doesn’t do this out of malice. Jazz honestly thinks her brand of substitute parenting is beneficial and she really, truly worries about Danny. Their relationship is a series of misunderstanding each others’ needs. Jazz had to learn to tone her psycho-analyzing down and have faith that Danny is a growing boy who is capable of taking care of himself. Danny had to learn his sister means well and would never intentionally hurt him. Once they realize these factors, they become much closer than they had in years. I have many feels for the two and it’s one of the best character arcs of Danny Phantom. -- source link
