criticizingyou: wererealwheels: Where do I even start with this…Guys, there is a fetish for everything. And we’ve documented all of them as much as we can. These are inarguably fetishes and kinks. There are kinks for blood, there are kinks for amputation, there are kinks for pregnancy, there are kinks for murder. Having any one of these kinks and wanting to roleplay it should not be criminalized or shamed. People cannot help the way that they feel. Please, DO NOT START WITCH HUNTS OVER A FETISH. Do not publicly shame people for their fetishes, do not call them out. Do not harass people for their fetishes. Many people with obscure fetishes will never accept themselves, they will be tied down with crippling insecurity over something they cannot change for their entire lives, and this kind of behavior perpetrates and encourages that. Plenty of people with these fetishes are already very aware of how awful they are, and they are responsible with them. They already have society breathing down their neck everyday about it- They already know.Child pornography, molestation and Rape are crimes.Thoughts, feelings and desires are not. I’m sorry, but if it borders something that is morally wrong (such as murder, sexual attraction to children, and rape) then I believe it should be something that has to be called out and thoroughly assessed. These thoughts, feelings, and desire are dangerous. While they haven’t done anything yet, normalizing this mentality that “it’s alright to feel the way you feel” when it’s so obviously wrong to do so dehumanizes victims. It’s something that could make a victim feel sympathetic to their abuser and that is wrong. This isn’t a matter of ‘kink-shaming’ but realizing the difference between something that is wrong and something that is just socially unacceptable at the present moment. Pedophilia isn’t something that can be discussed because it’s with a child. Somnophilia can be discussed and played upon after consent and agreeing on limitations. Rape fantasies are, by itself, incredibly sketchy as well. However, discussed between two adults who give their full consent, it is fine. Dehumanizing when discussed and bragged about like it’s the best thing ever, but it is their business in the bedroom. You can disagree, that’s fine, but you can not police someones thoughts or feelings according to your moral code. These are kinks, these are fetishes, these are sexual desires that can and are maintained and taken care of responsibly by people who already have them, and thought policing does contribute to kink shaming, by definition you are shaming a kink. And, yeezus, pure feelings cannot be inherently wrong or criminal, and having such thoughts doesn’t automatically make someone dangerous. Okay, we’re all human, we’ve all thought about stupid dangerous shit before, if every time you had even a thought that crossed a possibility of something that might be harmful, we’d all be in jail. And you know why? Because THOUGHTS =/= ACTS.The very idea that you should be able to police someones ideas and thoughts is asinine, I am done arguing about this. this is not even arguable, this is not up for debate. People can feel their goddamn feelings [in a fictional pretend setting] its a goddamn human right leave them alone. -- source link
