There is no apparently about it. Water is not free, it’s not a right to have it, and people pay must pay for it. If a government gives a thing to you like utilities, its still not free because they take it from somewhere else, like in taxes. I can’t believe the willing ignorance of this. Even if we stick with this immoral, materialistic view of the world, THE MOM WAS PAYING FOR IT. She was WILLING to pay for the extra costs it would incur to let her neighbor use her water. I can’t believe this is still going around? Ignorance on your part is what is strange. This is no immoral view of the world, but what happens when you give away water, even if you paid for it. Just Google “is it legal to give away water even if i paid for it” You’ll find its water fraud and is minor crime. Don’t blame me for how utilities work. It’s the same with electricity or gas. Just because the state tells you it’s wrong, and creates the concept of “water fraud” to give that legitimacy, doesn’t mean you actually have to believe that it is wrong. You are free to reject the idea that “water fraud” could ever be considered legitimate theft, and most people with common sense reject that idea. The whole point of being radical, at least in the context of the original tweet, is rejecting the premises that the government gives us for what is right, what is normal, and what is expected. Reject the idea that water fraud could ever be considered a legitimate wrong. Are you some kind of idiot or something. Taking water from a neighbor because you cant pay is wrong all over the world. You live in the Western world, not some commune with free utilities. Being radical for utility laws is stupid. A government makes rules for us to abide by. It’s why there are governments. You are probably one of this naive people that believe charging for utilities is wrong too. I do believe it’s wrong to charge for utilities and it’s incredible that a CONSERVATIVE is talking to me about obeying the government’s rules. Go away “If you buy water. And give the water you bought to someone else. That is fraud and stealing. Because by the rule some rando made up, you’re only allowed to drink water you yourself have bought with your own money directly from the like three randos you’re even allowed to buy from. This is completely reasonable and in no way a straight-up homicidal way to structure human life and it MUST be obeyed.” The entire concept that it’s illegal to give someone water, paid for or no, is fucking wild. America is so fucked up. FYI, in MOST other countries? This isn’t a thing. -- source link
