There she stands, berating Cas for everything he did to Heaven, never realizing how her own words betray the same sin of pride that brought him down…i actually loved naomi after this moment because cas did destroy most of heaven and naomi obviously attributed it to free will and dean winchesterso she’s been taking away cas’ free will to make it better because to her then obedience IS better than free will (and it’s understandable why she thinks thatbecause free will led to a civil war and cas killing nearly everyone in heaven)and she had him practise killing dean so dean wouldn’t corrupt hima so dean wouldn’t corrupt him again so cas would be loyal and redeemed and the way angels were supposed to be obviously naomi’s control of cas is wrong but she’s trying to do the right thing she’s trying to fix things as much as she canshe’s just doing it in completely the wrong way naomi: ruler of heaven?castiel: bamf of the lord supernatural gifs supernatural spoilers i wouldn’t say naomi is prideful exactly not like cas was i think she’s desperate and is trying to apply the same values angels have always had to this situation without realising that they won’t work -- source link
