He is best known for working almost exclusively in the medium of ballpoint pen on paper and canvas. Lee began working with ballpoint pens during his time at Pratt. His earlier works were all drawn on paper, but in recent years he has begun to work on larger primed canvases. His work is minimalist in style. It has been described as “deceptively casual,” and has been linked to Asian calligraphy. -- source link
