suchspiritedwords:cumberbatchaddictsanonymous:You see this building? It looks like just any old building being torn down right? WRONG. Ladies and Gentlemen, that is what is left of Stage 28 of Universal Studios. If you don’t know, Stage 28 housed the historic Phantom of the Opera set, which that had preserved there for 90 years. Sadly, they have begun tearing down the historic building which was also the home to Dracula, Man of a Thousand Faces and The Sting. A someone who majored in film studies, and has a deep love of film in general, this actually hurts. This building was not just a building, it held a magic that in this day and age is difficult to find, the people who have walked through that building, the films that were made there…I’m just at a loss for words right now.The public tried to save it, with a petition with over 2000 signatures, sadly we weren’t heard. Stage 28, I salute you. You’ve served the film community well, and you will be missed.I’m just gonna go cry now.:’( -- source link
