I went to a baby shower yesterday. Couples theme. I decided to wear my Chinese Laundry Spicey heels in Mauve (pictured). These are not the only pair of CL Spicey I have….but they are my favorite. Many years ago when I thought my shoe size was 9, my husband bought the for me. I think the mauve Spicey’s were one of the first pair of heels he bought for me. They were snug but I tried my best to allow stretch and wore them. I tried and tried but they just weren’t comfortable enough for me to wear for more than a couple hours. :( I loved these heels so much that I picked my wedding colors from these heels…champagne and mauve. I brought the heels with me when I went with my bridesmaids to pick out their dresses. Strapless, t-length champagne colors with accent of mauve around the bust. My bouquet was white with lavender (almost mauve) roses. The cake had accented mauve frosting flowers on it. After my pregnancy and a whole shoe size larger, I couldn’t wear them AT ALL. But my husband eventually FOUND then once again so I could wear my favorite pair of CL. All of these memories come flooding back to me when I put them on. I have stories for most of my heels.
