Like Anakin said, “He was going to blow up the ship.” If Anakin hadn’t killed him, everyone on the ship would have died. Honestly, I hate this trope so much. “If you kill me when I’m trying to kill you, you’re as much a murderer as I am.” No. You killed, yes, but it was because someone was trying to kill you. If someone attacks you, or someone you’re trying to protect, then killing them before they can kill others is not murder. Not legally, and not morally. You do what you have to do to stay alive. If that means shoving a lightsaber into the chest of someone threatening to blow up the ship you’re on, so be it. It doesn’t make you a murderer, and it wasn’t a step into Darkness. And honestly, they shouldn’t have used the Imperial March in this scene.(Uh… sorry for the rant.)Never a rant that needs apology. <3 -- source link
