Hello from Hong Kong! Travelling here was quite straining. We were up for about 27 hours, on a plane about half of the time, waiting/queueing the rest. Spent the first night in Aberdeen. We booked a cheap-ish hotel for this night since the airline we used was sorta delay-prone and basically we only needed a bed to sleep our jetlag off in. But it’s actually pretty nice! The pic above is taken from our room, you can see part of Aberdeen Harbour. There’s also a free mini bar, a “loot bag” holding an assortment of snacks, surprisingly many of which are German (might be customized to match the guest’s home country?) and a very neat bathroom and 3D tv. We checked in around 4pm local time, slept til 3am and then took a little stroll outside. As in Japan, convienience stores are open 24/7 and they also offer similar products, so we had a little snack and checked out the already very busy fish market. Even at night it’s super warm and humid here, but luckily it didn’t rain yet. Later today we’ll move over to Kowloon, into our “real” hotel. Photos of that will follow :D -- source link
