[ID: The universal symbol for wheelchair accessibility is placed on the left of a blue background. The figure is holding a paint palette in their hand. White text on the right side reads “Crippled & Creating.”] I made this facebook group to help physically disabled artists/creators* network, collaborate, and seek inspiration from one another. There are unique struggles and rewards to being a physically disabled artist, and yet our presence in the art world is too often invisible. Within other artists’ spaces, you might feel like you’re doing things wrong or not enough or making work able-bodied artists just don’t understand! You might be newly disabled and looking for tips and tricks for sustaining your artistic practice. Maybe you’re looking for accessible galleries, performance spaces, or other resources.*I’m being intentionally unspecific with these labels. If you consider yourself an artist or creator, you belong here, no matter what discipline or medium you work in.https://www.facebook.com/groups/1973798086200055/ -- source link
