Particularly those who fail to realize that Judaism is a broad set of tribal communities that are only loosely knitted via our religious beliefs. We are raised speaking Jewish languages, learning Jewish history, and assimilating in our own culture that we are Jews. In the same sense that a expat Frenchmen in Turkey would still be a cultural and ethnic Frenchman. His racial makeup is irrelevant: his cultural attachments are not. For the Jewish community, what’s in our blood is also part of our impact. We are for OUR COMMUNITY first and foremost. We have been trained to be this way PEOPLE LIKE THIS who drive us into isolation amongst ourselves throughout our history. We were are not for ourselves or our community, then what are we? Who are we for? I would much rather be a Jew than someone who feels they’re so ~tough~ and ~adult~ that they would feel the need to bully children for how they chose to identify.
